my name is sayer xavier spruell. i was born and raised in atlanta, georgia, with an undergraduate major in film and television and minor in cinema studies from the savannah college of art and design.

Film has been a life long interest of mine ever since I saw the lord of the rings when i was 9 years old. my love for film grew more and more with the likes of films by martin scorsese, akira kurosawa, and david lynch.

Gained numerous experience at scad including directing, screenwriting, and producing, then focused on editing after i took my first post production class. i took on numerous opportunities in editing for classes since then. editing became an interest then later a passion in filmmaking.

during my senior year, i have taken on numerous senior projects as an editor including the award winning documentary fate of the mustang, and the much talked about tv project peachtree place.

well versed in industry softwares including avid media composer and adobe premiere pro, with a focus on eventually working on bigger narrative productions in the film industry, as well as working on short form and promo work.
